At this blessed time of year, Islamic Relief wishes all its supporters Eid Mubarak.
Eid al-Adha is a joyful occasion for many of us. A time to be with our family and friends. A time when we honour the Prophet Ibrahim’s willingness to sacrifice his son Ismail in obedience to God.
Many Muslims mark the holy festival by making qurbani, a sacrifice. And with Islamic Relief, their sacrifice will reach 3 million people this Eid.
We work with vulnerable communities throughout the year, which helps us identify the families most in need. For some, Eid al-Adha is the only time of year they are able to eat meat.
Reaching communities in 34 countries
Your qurbani has for the first time this year reached refugees from Myanmar who are seeking safety in Bangladesh. Around 66,500 refugees will have benefited from nearly 2,700 qurbanis this year.
Your gift of joy has also reached people devastated by brutal conflict in Yemen and Syria and prolonged drought in Somalia and Balochistan.
Vulnerable people still need your help
Islamic Relief works tirelessly to help people affected by some of the world’s worst humanitarian crises. So we know all too well that their suffering will continue this Eid and beyond.

The challenges and the suffering they face are ever-present. They still need our help.
The vulnerable people we serve are in our thoughts and prayers this Eid al-Adha. So too are our generous supporters who have shown those in need that their plight is not forgotten.
Happy Eid.
