The Geneva peace talks will be taking place on Wednesday (Jan 22nd). Islamic Relief have added our names to a list of signatories calling for access to the Yarmouk camp and to all vulnerable civilians in Syria.
The conditions in the Yarmouk refugee camp, which is located near Damascus and is home to Palestinian refugees, are grave – with 18,000 people cut off from supplies and medical aid. There are also reports of people eating grass as well as cat and dog meat.
We want 23 million people to make a loud noise by Tuesday 5pm Damascus time. We want to tell those attending the Geneva peace talks not to leave until an agreement is reached to provide humanitarian access to the Yarmouk refugee camp and other areas cut off from systematic aid.
