Requirements:
We are currently recruiting for a Logistics Coordinator based in Sana’a Yemen. The Logistics Coordinator will oversee and manage the logistics operations activities of the Project with regard to requirements of the programmes or project for premises (contracting, rehabilitating and maintaining), ground and air transportation, inventory, record keeping, stores, disbursements and close coordination with Donor’s logistic department.
The candidate will take responsibility for movement of food commodities and equipment including coordination with other Warehouse and Distribution staff to ensure efficient and timely delivery of relief commodities. You will provide ongoing supervision, leadership, technical support and guidance to manage all warehouses in all operation areas.
The successful candidate must have substantial experience of working with INGOs in developing countries, with an in depth understanding of national and international development issues in particular in relation to malnutrition (MAM, SAM, CMAM, GAM etc). The candidate must have a Graduate degree in Social Science or a Diploma in Logistics Supply Chain Management. You will have at least five years experience in International Humanitarian Organisation and experience of developing and implementing Logistics systems for Humanitarian organisations. Excellent English, written and spoken is essential. Knowledge of a foreign language (Arabic) or the local language is desirable. Must have a working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel.
