- About 150 children – including orphaned children from Al Wehdat refugee camp – have enjoyed a fun-filled day, held by Islamic Relief to mark Universal Children’s Day.
- The event took place on 20 November, Universal Children’s Day. It was held at the Hussein Cultural Center Gallery in Amman Jordan.
- Orphaned children from Al Wehdat refugee camp who are sponsored by Islamic Relief joined disabled children and children from poor families in the celebrations.
- Cartoon characters entertained the children, who also had fun with games, face painting, singing and dancing. A puppet show was one of the highlights from the day.
- The youngsters watched live self-defence demonstrations, and also received special gifts – including t-shirts, caps, and toys – to mark the day.
- Our child protection campaign was also promoted at the event. The campaign aims to safeguard children by raising awareness of child rights.
