As Palestine stands on the brink of war, Islamic Relief has launched an urgent appeal to support its emergency response.
Dozens of people – including women and children – have already died in air strikes targeting multiple sites in the enclave. As the situation deteriorates, the number of casualties is rising. Critical medical supplies are running low, and fuel for ambulances is scarce.
As Palestinians suffer the fourth day of air strikes, UN secretary general Ban Ki-moon has warned that “Gaza is on a knife edge. The risk of the violence expanding further still is real.”
Islamic Relief is on the ground right now – our Gaza office has been established since 1998 – delivering essential aid.
We are providing hospitals with drugs and medical disposables, as well as food. We are also distributing food to vulnerable families, and working to reach the hundreds of people that have fled their homes.
Palestine now faces its worst humanitarian crisis since the eight day war of 2012. Please support our humanitarian response: donate to our Palestine Appeal today.
